Calabasas : Entries Are Sought for Pumpkin Parade

Preparations are under way for the fourth annual Calabasas Pumpkin Parade, which will kick off this year’s Calabasas Days Pumpkin Festival.
Entries are being sought for the parade, which will be held in Calabasas on Oct. 7. Applications should be returned to Pumpkin Central, headquarters for the Pumpkin Festival at 23564 Calabasas Road, no later than 5 p.m. Saturday.
The parade’s theme is “The Spirit of the Old West.” Categories include pumpkin vehicles, dancers, jugglers, floats, bands, color guard, horses, flags and marching units. For information, call Pumpkin Central at (818) 225-2227.
This year’s parade grand marshal is actor George Kennedy.
The Pumpkin Festival will be held this year on Oct. 21 and 22 at Paramount Ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, just south of Agoura Hills.
