VENTURA : Police Seek 2 Men in Stabbing Incident
Ventura police were looking Friday for two suspects who stabbed a 23-year-old Ventura man Thursday night.
Carlos Spencer Mendoza was treated and released Thursday at Ventura County Medical Center, authorities said.
Mendoza had been walking south on Ventura Avenue near Warner Street when two men approached him and asked for money, Ventura police said.
After telling them he did not have any money, Mendoza said he saw one of the suspects reach for something under his jacket, police said.
Mendoza turned and ran but was stabbed in the left arm, police said.
The suspects fled, and an investigation is continuing, police said.
