Parsons Names New President of Latin America Unit

J. Doug Pitts has been named president of Parsons Latin America, a new unit of Pasadena-based Parsons Corp.

Pitts will be responsible for the engineering and construction company’s business development and operations in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and South America. Parsons currently has offices in Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia.

Pitts, who will be based in Pasadena, previously was executive vice president of operations and sales at Molten Metal Technology Inc., an environmental technology firm.

United Airlines has named Mark Liberman as vice president North America, west region. Liberman will be the airline’s highest-ranking officer in Southern California.

Liberman is responsible for sales, reservations and customer service operations at 21 airports in six western states. Liberman has been with the airline 26 years, most recently as vice president of the Latin America division.

Frank D. Hickman has been named president and chief operating officer of all western operations for Tishman Construction Corp. Hickman, who is based in Los Angeles, is also vice president of the New York-based parent company, Tishman Realty & Construction Co., and executive vice president of Tishman Realty Corp., the firm’s development unit.

Mark Schaffer has been named president of Lowe Enterprises Realty Services, a subsidiary of Brentwood-based Lowe Enterprises Inc. Schaffer has been an executive vice president of the Realty Services division.
