Riordan is scheduled to visit China, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong in a 12-day trip starting Sept. 29, according to a statement released by his office Monday. He will announce the objectives of the mission and discuss the importance of tourism to the Los Angeles economy at a Wednesday breakfast meeting of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
Consul Generals Feng Shusen of China, Seiichiro Noboru of Japan and Tae-Hee Park of Korea, as well as representatives of the city’s airport, harbor and sister cities programs and leaders of the Chamber of Commerce and the Asian Business League will join Riordan at the breakfast meeting.
