About 20 churches in Ventura County are looking for youngsters to attend an all-night party that will include performances by a Christian rock band and comedian, a pizza “pig-out,” skating and video games.

Churches from Simi Valley to Santa Barbara will be taking part in the seventh annual “Night That Wouldn’t End.” The event will begin at 7 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Camarillo, said organizer Eric Weber.

The night is open only to children ages 12 to 14. Adult chaperons will be provided, and children do not have to be church members to participate, Weber said.

“Steve Duff & Co,” a Christian band, will perform for the youths, as will “clean” comedian Cary Trivanovich, Weber said. Around midnight, the group will descend on Golf ‘n Stuff in Ventura for three hours of video games, miniature golf and bumper boats, he said.

At 3 a.m., the group will move to Skating Plus in Ventura, where they will roller skate on an indoor rink, Weber said. Teens will return to their churches by 7 a.m., he said.

The cost is $25 per person. For more information, call 482-2657.
