BUENA PARK — A man who was involved in a bar fight was stabbed and left to die on a street corner, and investigators said Monday that they have not identified a suspect in the killing.
The victim, whose name was withheld pending family notification, and the assailant were seen at a bar arguing over an unknown matter about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Police Sgt. Lloyd Schwengel said. The argument escalated into a fight at Indiana and Commonwealth avenues, he said.
Police officers arrived and found a man in his early 20s lying in the street with one major stab wound in the chest and numerous cuts, Schwengel said.
