Cheryl Miller, who resigned Friday as USC’s women’s basketball coach, will be named today as an NBA reporter for Turner Broadcasting.

Turner Sports executive producer Mike Pearl said that Miller, 31, would be mainly a studio contributor in NBA coverage but would also work as a sideline reporter.

Turner televises three games a week during the regular season and during the playoffs through the conference finals.

Pearl said Miller signed a multiyear contract but added that her salary “won’t be as big as her brother’s.”

He meant Reggie Miller, who plays for the NBA’s Indiana Pacers.

Miller left USC two years after replacing Marianne Stanley. Miller’s teams went 26-4 and 18-10.

Fred Williams, 37, Miller’s associate coach, was named interim coach, then Monday, Athletic Director Mike Garrett removed the “interim” tag.
