Banner Event for Tourism: The tourism corridor along Beach Boulevard in Buena Park has received a little dressing up.
The city’s Convention & Visitors Office has hung 35 banners from street light poles along the boulevard to promote its top five destinations: Knott’s Berry Farm, Movieland Wax Museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum, Wild Bill’s Wild West Dinner Extravaganza and Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament.
The attractions themselves paid for the banners, so no tax money was used.
“We were able to ensure that every pole between Crescent Avenue and the 91 Freeway had a banner,” said Pattie Davidson, the office’s managing director.
