OXNARD : Police Investigating Defused Pipe Bomb
Oxnard police on Friday were investigating a pipe bomb that was found the day before and then defused by the Ventura County sheriff’s bomb squad.
An eight-inch piece of pipe with a fuse protruding from one end was found at 3 p.m. Thursday in a planter near Victory Outreach at 200 W. Pleasant Valley Road, Oxnard police said.
A Victory Outreach employee notified investigators that an unidentified man told him the pipe bomb was placed outside the building so police could dispose of it.
Investigators have no suspects in the case.
