Officials Shouldn’t Bow to Ahmanson Threat

* I guess the Ahmanson Land Co. is taking a cue from NBC’s current hit “Friends” regarding its proposed development on Ahmanson Ranch in the west San Fernando Valley.

It appears that the only way to push through their development is to contact their high-placed friend Gov. Wilson to put pressure on the city of Calabasas. I hope the current elected officials in Calabasas see this threat from Gov. Wilson for what it is and stick to their guns. Our community doesn’t need another housing tract, especially one that would be located on the headwaters of Las Virgenes Creek and Malibu Creek.

Grow up, Ahmanson--leave our neighborhood in one piece.
