VENTURA : Reward Offered in Armed Robbery

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered by Ventura County Crime Stoppers Inc. for information leading to the arrest of an armed man who robbed Ventura’s Lassen’s Market Sept. 15.

Ventura police are looking for a Latino man between 35 and 40 years old, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He has shoulder-length black, slicked-back hair and a thick mustache.

The suspect pointed a revolver at a clerk at the store at 4013 Main St., demanded money and fled after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Anyone with information about the crime should contact Crime Stoppers at 385-HERO (385-4376). Callers may remain anonymous and will be assigned a number as their only identification. If the information leads to an arrest with a criminal complaint filed, the caller will become eligible for the reward.
