Copies of the draft environmental impact report on the effects of a Mid-City redevelopment project are now available.
The report examines the impact of the Community Redevelopment Agency’s plans to revamp seven commercial corridors in the Mid-City area, studying traffic, air quality, noise pollution and public services.
“Ultimately, they are going to have to live with this for the next 20 to 25 years,” said Marc Littman, spokesman for the CRA. “We want to make sure they have access to all the information they need and have full opportunity to comment on what the proposal means to them and what impacts it may have.”
The public can make comments by writing the CRA or by attending a public hearing on the findings in the draft report at 9 a.m. Oct. 19 at Community Redevelopment Agency headquarters downtown.
The reports can be reviewed at the Community Redevelopment Agency Records Center, fifth floor, 354 S. Spring St.; Pio Pico Elementary School, 1512 S. Arlington Ave., and public libraries in the Mid-City area.
