OJAI--Bowlful of Blues returns to the Ojai Bowl, 2-10 p.m. Oct. 7. Artists from around the country represent their regions with various blues styles at the 13th annual outdoor event in Libbey Park. $22 in advance; $24 at the gate. (805) 646-7230.
CALISTOGA--Heat up the taste buds, then cool them off at the 12th annual Beer and Sausage Fest, 1-5 p.m. Oct. 7. Featured: Beer from 30 California microbreweries, a chili competition, sausages and mustards from the area, live music and more. HANFORD--The Taoist Temple Preservation Society once again sponsors the Moon Festival on historic China Alley. The 16th annual event, noon-5 p.m. Oct. 7, includes Chinese foods, crafts and displays, tai chi and martial arts demonstrations, tours of the temple and museum and the lion dance. Free. (209) 584-3236. HOPLAND--Get in an autumnal frame of mind at the Fetzer Harvest Festival, Oct. 7-8 at the Fetzer Vineyards tasting room, 13500 South U.S. 101. Taste wines and foods and enjoy live music, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. Free. Also offered: walking tours of historic Hopland and a 5K walk/run at 9 a.m. Saturday ($15, with registration at 8 a.m.). MORRO BAY--The culinary, recreational and historical bounty of the sea is celebrated at the 14th annual Morro Bay Harbor Festival, Oct. 7-8 at the Embarcadero on the waterfront. The festival, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. both days, features maritime history exhibits, Marine and Water Sports Expo, arts and crafts and live entertainment. $3; free for kids under 12.
