Obituaries : Timothy R. Anderson; Postal Service Employee

Timothy (Tim) R. Anderson, a longtime Ventura County resident and postal service employee, died Friday in a Santa Paula convalescent hospital after a long illness. He was 47.

Anderson, who was born Oct. 22, 1947, in Rosemead, moved to Ventura County in 1960 from Temple City.

The Santa Paula resident worked as an expediter for the U.S. Postal Service for 18 years.

Anderson had been actively involved in the ministry of South Coast Fellowship in Ventura as a team teacher with his wife, Linda Anderson. His hobbies were model railroads, camping and gardening.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Robby Anderson of Santa Paula; his father and stepmother, Robert and Rose Marie Anderson of Ventura; his sister, Sandra Vaughan of Sacramento, and his brother, Terry Anderson of Pea Ridge, Ark.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at South Coast Fellowship in Ventura, with the Rev. John Huffman and the Rev. Larry Reichardt officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura.
