OXNARD : Open House Planned at City Fire Stations

Share

The Oxnard Fire Department will hold an open house today during which the public can learn about rescuing people trapped inside collapsed buildings and preventing fires at home.

All six fire stations throughout the city will be open from 1 to 5 p.m., and each will have a different presentation, including display of fire equipment and safety information.

The program is part of a nationwide fire-prevention week.

In addition, to honor the 100 firefighters who died across the country last year, the Fire Department will hold a “Fallen Firefighters’ Ceremony” at noon Sunday at Oxnard City Hall.
