Studio City : Police Boosters Plan Partnership Luncheon
A Los Angeles Police Department booster group will sponsor a fund-raising luncheon Thursday for the department’s North Hollywood Division.
The East Valley Police Activity League Supporters, known as PALS, will host the 27th annual Police Community Partnership Luncheon, one of its two biggest fund-raisers of the year.
According to area commander Rick Wahler, a key purpose of the luncheon is to recognize people in the department and community for their contributions to policing efforts. Awards for exemplary service will be presented to a police officer, a detective, a support staff member, a volunteer and a local resident.
Wahler said the booster group hopes the event will raise $4,000 to support PALS’ youth programs and charitable activities.
The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Sportsmen’s Lodge, 12833 Ventura Blvd. Admission is $30. For more information or reservations, call (818) 756-8838.
