FULLERTON : La Escuelita Plans Car Wash to Get Cash : Youth : News for the 18-and-under crowd
Jimmy Ramos’ La Escuelita del Pueblo, a makeshift Truslow Avenue school where adults have been receiving free weekend English classes, has begun a children’s program.
The after-school project is run by volunteers, but teaching supplies, such as chalk, paper, pencils, crayons and books are in short supply.
To help raise money for materials, the school will sponsor a car wash Nov. 4 at La Palma Avenue and Euclid Street.
La Escuelita students will wash the cars for cash donations that will be used to buy the supplies needed, Ramos said.
