Police on Wednesday continued their search for a second suspect in the fatal shooting in Encino that left one man dead.

A 17-year-old boy, who was not identified because of his age, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of murder.

Authorities identified the victim as Alan Friedman, 28, who was killed while sitting inside his Jeep at about 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 5700 block of Chicopee Avenue. Police said the man was shot when two occupants of an aqua-green Honda Accord pulled up alongside his car and sprayed it with bullets.

Friedman apparently got into an argument with the two people in the Honda before he pulled over to the side of the road, Los Angeles Police Detective Stephen Fisk said.

Police arrested the unidentified teen-ager six hours after the shooting when they spotted him driving a car that matched the description of the one used in the shooting.

Fisk said officers are still looking for the passenger in the teen-ager’s car.
