UC Irvine Defeats Cal in Water Polo
IRVINE —
Ryan Bailey scored five points as fourth-ranked UC Irvine defeated top-ranked California, 9-7, in water polo Friday night at Heritage Park to take sole possession of first place in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. The Anteaters (12-4, 6-0) have won six straight.
Phinney Gardner scored three points for California (14-4, 4-1).
