St. Bonaventure High used a double dose of Sanchez to dispatch Oak Park, 28-0, Thursday night in a Tri-Valley League game at Ventura High.

Junior quarterback Teohua Sanchez threw two touchdown passes and his brother, senior tailback Topi, ran for two scores as the Seraphs (7-2, 2-1) scored all their points in the first half.

Teohua Sanchez completed 12 of 25 passes for 160 yards. Topi Sanchez finished with 171 yards in 22 carries and has scored 24 touchdowns and 154 points this season to lead area Southern Section players in both categories.

St. Bonaventure’s first two touchdowns came on passes of 14 and nine yards from Teohua Sanchez to Pepe Villasenor, who caught six passes for 66 yards

The Seraphs converted a pair of two point conversions and led, 16-0, 8:47 into the game, having run 17 offensive plays to Oak Park’s three.

St. Bonaventure’s final two touchdowns, on runs of two and three yards by Topi Sanchez, came in the second quarter and capped drives of 77 and 80 yards.

Josh Nicassio of Oak Park (2-7, 0-4) completed nine of 18 passes for 111 yards and an interception.

Valencia 26, Sultana 14--Donavan Calhoun rushed 22 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns for the Vikings at Canyon High.

Quarterback Kenny Taylor passed four yards to Caleb Willis for a touchdown and scored on a five-yard run to give Valencia (2-7) a 12-7 halftime lead,

Calhoun scored on a two-yard run and caught a two-point conversion pass from Taylor as the Vikings increased the lead to 20-7 in the third quarter.

After the Sultans (5-4) pulled to within 20-14 early in the final quarter, Calhoun ran three yards for a touchdown to ice the victory with 5:19 left in the game.

Taylor completed six of eight passes for 98 yards and added 78 yards rushing.

T.J. Hilliard had 140 in 25 carries for Sultana.
