Cal Poly San Luis Obispo burned Cal State Northridge (2-6, 1-1) for 591 yards total offense and quarterback Mike Fisher completed 14 of 21 passes for 286 yards and four touchdowns to the lead the Mustangs (4-5, 2-1) to a 49-7 American West Conference victory Saturday at San Luis Obispo. Cal Poly built a 28-0 halftime lead behind three Fisher touchdown passes, and an option pass from Nate Ecklund to Jon Peck.

Host Cal Lutheran (4-3-1, 4-1) blocked an extra point and stopped a late two-point conversion attempt, for a 21-19 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Assn. victory over Redlands (4-4, 3-2). . . . Anthony Jones rushed for 298 yards and four touchdowns for host La Verne (8-0, 5-0) in a 38-17 victory over Claremont-Mudd (3-5, 2-3). . . . Occidental (2-6) held host Whittier (1-7, 0-6) to only 22 yards rushing in a 10-0 victory.
