Alicia Marie Lopez, a 15-year-old Ventura resident, died Sunday from injuries received when a car hit her Oct. 28 in Camarillo.
Alicia was born June 11, 1980, in Ventura.
She celebrated her eighth-grade graduation from Holy Cross School in Ventura in 1994, then attended Ventura High School.
“Alicia was a good, dependable student,” said Natalie Boughey, her eighth-grade teacher at Holy Cross. “She was someone you could depend on. I do remember her well.”
She is survived by her father, Benny Lopez of Ventura; her mother and stepfather, Dolores and Frank Caballero of Ventura; her sisters, Nellie Frances Lopez, Angie Lynette Valdivia and Lynette Rangel, all of Ventura; her brothers, Robert Anthony Lopez of Oxnard and Benny Mendez Lopez Jr., Manuel Carlos Valdivia and Christopher John Valdivia, all of Ventura, and her grandparents, Chris and Helen Rangel of Ventura.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at San Buenaventura Mission in Ventura. Burial will follow in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
