The Season for Crafting and Bazaars

As the holidays approach, civic groups are starting to hold craft fairs and fund-raisers. Here is a list of some taking place in Orange County this weekend and next week. Future events will be listed Thursdays in Calendar’s OC Live!

SATURDAY

* Holiday Happening Craft Faire (Westminster Civic Center Gardens and Community Services Building, 8200 Westminster Blvd., [714] 895-2860). Sale of handmade crafts and seasonal gifts. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free.

* Christmas craft show (San Clemente Art Gallery, Del Mar and Seville Avenue, San Clemente, [714] 493-3800). Holiday sale of handmade goods from the San Clemente Arts and Crafts Club. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

* Christmas boutique (St. Cecilia’s Church Hall, 1301 S.E. Sycamore St., Tustin, [714] 544-3250). The Church Craft Group offers handmade holiday gifts. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also Nov. 12, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

SUNDAY

* Christmas bazaar and champagne brunch (the Hacienda, 1725 College Ave., Santa Ana, [714] 759-1553). Handcrafted items, toys and gifts will be sold to benefit the Animal Assistance League. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. $10 in advance, $12 at door.

WEDNESDAY

* Bake sale (Cypress Senior Center, 5700 Orange Ave., Cypress, [714] 229-6776). Assorted holiday cakes, pies, breads and cookies will be sold to benefit the senior center. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also Nov. 16, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free.
