SATICOY : 2 Teen-Agers Hurt in Drive-By Shooting

Police are investigating a suspected gang-related drive-by shooting Thursday night that left two Saticoy teen-agers requiring hospital treatment.
Mario Sanchez, 18, remained in Ventura County Medical Center Friday with a gunshot wound to the back. A 16-year-old boy also received treatment at the hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police say someone in a car opened fire about 8:45 p.m. Thursday at a group standing on the sidewalk at Alelia Avenue and Azahar Street in the unincorporated county community. The car is described as a two-door, late-model Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a white top and dark bottom.
Ventura County sheriff’s investigators say they do not have any suspects and have not identified a motive for the shooting. Anyone with information is asked call Detective Sgt. John Fitzgerald at 654-2824 or Detective Will Gentry at 654-2356.
