This Fan Doesn’t Want to See Ice Dogs Go

I attended the Ice Dogs’ 6-1 Sunday afternoon victory over the Minnesota Moose at the Sports Arena. The Sports Arena, you ask? Yes, the stadium Angelenos love to hate and are scared to visit. I’ve got good news. It just may be the best hockey stadium in town. Smaller than the Forum and The Pond of Anaheim, it offers good sight lines and a feeling of being on top of the action.

No one should hesitate to attend games because of the so-called “bad” neighborhood (the United Center on Chicago’s gritty west side is much scarier). The Ice Dogs are exciting, affordable professional hockey that L.A. hockey fans would truly enjoy--especially at the Sports Arena.
