Share

With the last of the Halloween candy barely eaten, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Camarillo.

Already on sale are bleacher seats for the 34th annual Camarillo Christmas Parade set for noon Dec. 9.

A continental breakfast is included in the ticket price of $5 for adults, $2 for children and $3 for seniors.

Tickets are available from the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District office, 1605 E. Burnley St., through Nov. 30.

Also, United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1036 has opened its Toys for Tots drop-off site at union headquarters, 816 Camarillo Springs Road.

“We hope to collect at least 2,000 toys,” said George L. Hartwell, president of the union that represents 11,000 supermarket employees in six counties, including Ventura County.

The Marine Corps Reserve-sponsored Toys for Tots campaign collects toys to give as Christmas gifts to underprivileged children.
