2 Killed When Automobile Hits Water Tank
PALMDALE —
Two people in a Honda Accord bearing Rhode Island license plates were killed Monday when the auto smashed into a water storage tank, CHP officers said.
The couple, a man and woman in their 20s who were not identified, were speeding west on Avenue T about 4:50 a.m. when the car skidded off the road and hit the tank, CHP Officer Gary Goldenberg said.
The car hurtled another 250 feet until it came to a rest, he said. Both victims died at the scene.
