Noe Signs to Play at Long Beach

Terry Noe of Sunny Hills, the 1994 U.S. Junior Amateur champion, has signed a letter of intent to play golf at Long Beach State.

Noe, who won the 1992 junior national championship in his native South Korea, is a two-time first-team Times all-county selection.

As a sophomore in 1994, he helped Sunny Hills win the Southern Section team title. Last season, he helped the Lancers finish fourth in the Southern Section and sixth in the CIF-Southern California Golf Assn. tournament.

Steve Wagner of Santa Margarita said he has signed to play golf at UCLA.

Last year Wagner was the No. 1 player for the Eagles, who won the Sea View League title.

Jennifer Drew, a 6-foot-1 middle blocker for the El Toro girls’ volleyball team, said she has orally committed to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.. . . . Nicole Noya, a 6-2 middle blocker for Mater Dei (20-2), committed to Rhode Island.
