SIMI VALLEY : Wallet Left Behind in Jewelry Robbery

Share

If only all jewelry heists were this easy to solve.

A thief fleeing from a Simi Valley robbery Tuesday left behind a big clue: His wallet.

The man and two armed accomplices entered Jonart Jewelry on Erringer Road about 12:45 p.m. After a short struggle with the clerk, the men fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of jewelry, police said. The clerk, who could not be reached, received minor injuries.

But thanks to the wallet, police said they don’t expect the robbers will be hard to find. They have one suspect’s address and were looking for him Tuesday evening in Los Angeles County.
