A Canadian has been ordered to stand trial on charges he sent death threats by fax to Judge Lance Ito, prosecutor Marcia Clark and others connected to the O.J. Simpson murder trial.

Gerald Lavictoire, 48, of Toronto was arrested Aug. 18 after the Los Angeles district attorney’s office asked the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to investigate faxes sent during the Simpson trial.

Lavictoire’s trial is set to begin Dec. 4.
