San Francisco 49er wide receiver John Taylor could sit out Sunday night’s game against Buffalo because of a hip pointer suffered last week. He was listed as questionable, leaving the possibility that top draft choice J.J. Stokes would make his first career start in Taylor’s place.

Stokes has 10 catches in the past two games, including his first two NFL touchdowns.

Defensive tackle Bryant Young (back) and fullback Adam Walker (ankle) also were listed as questionable. However, Coach George Seifert said both have a good chance of playing.

There has been a breakthrough in Washington Redskin owner Jack Kent Cooke’s seven-year fight to find a location for a new 78,600-seat facility to replace RFK Stadium. The Associated Press, citing a source, reported that Cooke and Maryland Gov. Parris Glendening have resolved their dispute over who will pay for $23 million in on-site infrastructure costs at a site near Landover, Md. Glendening reportedly will hold a news conference Monday to announce the agreement.
