Devaluing Restaurants Kills L.A. Businesses

We are frequent customers of Farmers Market. We are usually delighted with any article that informs the community about the charms the market offers.

Unfortunately, “Breaking Out of Its Shell” (Nov. 27) found it necessary to demean both Du-Pars coffee shop and its satisfied patrons. If we continue to devalue what is not new or “hip,” Los Angeles will have yet another venerable restaurant to mourn.
