Chatsworth : Computer Vendors to Demonstrate Wares

A Chatsworth retailer will offer demonstrations of computer software and hardware, as well as a tour of the Internet, at a business mixer Wednesday, organizers have announced.

Art Schlefstein, president of Wizard of OsZ, said that representatives from several computer industry firms will be on hand to answer questions about their products.

Westworld, a San Fernando Valley-based Internet provider, will also be present to explain the information superhighway.

Held in conjunction with the Chatsworth Chamber of Commerce, the monthly events are an opportunity for businesses to introduce themselves to the community, Schlefstein said. His 14-year-old company manufactures and sells DOS-compatible computers.

“It’s good to draw new people,” he said of the mixers, noting that refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded at Wednesday’s event. “We try to make it entertaining.”

The two-hour mixer will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the company’s headquarters at 9701 Mason Ave., Chatsworth. Admission is free. For reservations, call (818) 341-2428.
