The Colorado Avalanche broke out of their worst slump of the season in style.

Eight Avalanche players scored as Colorado also matched a club record with six first-period goals and broke a season-worst three-game losing streak.

The scoring burst marked the third time the franchise has scored 12 goals in a game, with the most recent coming 11 years ago.
