LA PALMA : Car-Detail Firm Given OK to Keep Operating
A car-detail firm that had operated for 12 years without the required conditional-use permit because of a city oversight has been granted permission to continue its work at 5031 La Palma Ave.
The City Council on Tuesday night agreed to allow La Palma Car Wash continue the detailing business following a brief discussion.
“If it’s been operating for 12 years there, why now make a big issue of it?” asked Councilwoman Eva Miner Bradford.
Councilman Wally D. Linn responded: “The purpose is to bring things into compliance.”
In a memo to the City Council, City Manager Daniel E. Keen said the conditional-use permit “would legalize the existing activities on the property by establishing appropriate conditions.”
