Two Oxnard men are expected to be arraigned today in Ventura County Municipal Court on suspicion of selling and possessing heroin.

Salvador Rodriguez Milpas, 29, and Adan Alcala Arreguin, 39, were arrested by Ventura County sheriff’s deputies and Oxnard police officers for allegedly selling heroin in Oxnard, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Arnie Aviles.

Sheriff’s deputies served a warrant Monday at Arreguin’s apartment at 846 S. G St. because they believed drug sales were going on there, Aviles said.

Officers found 3 ounces of tar heroin packaged for sale, including an ounce in the kitchen’s oven door and 16 packets in Arreguin’s underwear, Aviles said.

Aviles estimated the heroin had a street value of about $10,000.

Milpas and Arreguin were arrested and booked in Ventura County Jail on bail of $20,000 each.
