PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : NFC : Rubley, Former Ram, Waived by Packers
The Green Bay Packers waived reserve quarterback T.J. Rubley, the former L.A. Ram, and signed free agent wide receiver Bucky Brooks on Tuesday.
Rubley, 27, appeared in one game this season, completing four of six passes for 39 yards with one interception Nov. 4 against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Packers currently have three quarterbacks on the active roster, starter Brett Favre and backups Jim McMahon and Doug Pederson, in addition to Mike McCoy on the practice squad and Ty Detmer on injured reserve.
Brooks, waived by the Buffalo Bills in training camp, was a second-round draft choice from North Carolina in 1994. He played in three games as a kick returner during his rookie season.
