Ex-Supervisor Riley Recovering From Pneumonia
Former Orange County Supervisor Thomas F. Riley was recovering from pneumonia Monday and “doing as well as can be expected,” his wife said.
Riley, 83, was admitted to Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian after experiencing pain in his chest Dec. 13 while at a Newport Beach rehabilitation center receiving post-surgery therapy to strengthen his back and neck, Emma Jane Riley said.
He was sitting up Monday and watching television, his wife said.
Riley, who lives in Newport Beach, retired in December 1994 from the Board of Supervisors.
