A Simi Valley man who was shot by police remained in fair condition Thursday, while the police officer who was accidentally shot while trying to subdue him was reported in good condition, officials said.
Officer Dave Raduziner and Mark Pedersen are recovering from their injuries at Simi Valley Hospital. Their conditions haven’t changed since Tuesday.
On Monday, Officer John Hughes shot Pedersen twice after he allegedly came at officers with a pocket knife, authorities said. One of the bullets passed through Pedersen’s chest and shattered Raduziner’s right thigh bone, police said.
