HOLIDAY WEEKEND
Monday is Christmas Day. The following services will be affected or closed:
* MAIL: All post offices are closed and no mail will be delivered.
* BANKS: Banks and savings and loan institutions are closed.
* COURTS: All courts are closed.
* SCHOOLS: Public schools in Ventura County are closed.
* GOVERNMENT: All federal, state, county and municipal offices, except those providing emergency services, are closed.
* TRANSPORTATION: There will be no SCAT, VISTA, Simi Valley Transit or Fillmore Area Transit bus service, and Metrolink trains will not run.
* TRASH: Regular Monday trash collection will be postponed until Tuesday. Pickup will be delayed by one day over the entire holiday period and return to normal schedules the week of Jan. 8.
