Bicyclist Injured in Hit-Run
A bicyclist was in serious condition Sunday at an area hospital as police searched for the motorist who hit him and sped from the scene.
Raul Yepez, 27, was at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, said nursing supervisor Sandy Melton.
Yepez was hit about 10:20 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Oxnard Boulevard and Rose Avenue in south Oxnard, said Bryan MacDonald, Oxnard police watch commander. No witnesses had come forward by late Sunday, MacDonald said.
“We have no idea who or what hit him,” MacDonald said. “It could have been a truck, a car or a tank.”
