Westside : ARRAIGNED
An Anaheim man accused of strangling his wife last weekend in the front seat of his car as the couple’s 6-year-old son watched was charged with murder Wednesday.
Jong Chan Kim, 33, entered a not-guilty plea in Santa Monica Superior Court and was ordered held without bail. He is expected to be back in court on Jan. 9 for further hearings, said a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office.
Kim was arrested in Newport Beach on Saturday after allegedly pulling off the freeway in Santa Monica and strangling Jang Kim, 26. He then allegedly drove his son and Kim’s body to Newport Beach, where he called police.
