COLLEGE FOOTBALL BOWL REPORT : CITRUS BOWL : Buckeye Safety Is Sent Home
Ohio State backup safety Damon Moore was sent home from workouts for the Florida Citrus Bowl for what Coach John Cooper called “a violation of team rules.”
Moore, who intercepted two passes this year for the fourth-ranked Buckeyes, was at Ohio State’s practice Tuesday in preparation of the New Year’s Day game against Tennessee at Orlando, Fla. He left before practice was over and was driven to the airport.
Cooper declined to say what rules Moore broke.
“We flew him home,” Cooper said. “He’s still with the team, but he just won’t play in this bowl game.”
