Freeway Accident Victim Identified
Ventura County medical examiners have identified the woman who died in a single-car crash along the Simi Valley Freeway late Thursday as Nancy Gill, a 53-year-old resident of Simi Valley.
California Highway Patrol investigators said Gill was driving a 1990 Infiniti along the freeway about 6:40 p.m. Thursday when she apparently lost control of her car and swerved into the center divider west of Cochran Street.
The car rolled across the freeway and Gill was ejected from the vehicle. She died about an hour later at Simi Valley Hospital from numerous head and chest injuries.
Gill is survived by a sister, Joy Lemm, who lives in Chatham, Va., coroner’s officials said.
