A woman and a man robbed a cashier at Don Jose’s Mexican Restaurant and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The woman entered the restaurant and approached the cashier about 8:20 p.m. Thursday to ask for change, Police Sgt. R.K. Miller said. As the restaurant employee opened the cash register, her partner pointed a gun at him and said, “Give me the money, ese,” Miller said. (Ese is a colloquial Spanish word used to address a man).

The robber then repeated his demand as the woman told the cashier, “Give him the money or we will kill you,” Miller said. The worker then handed over the cash and the pair left the restaurant.
