Bryan Hill scored 21 points and Gerald Brown made six free throws in the final 2 1/2 minutes Friday night in Pepperdine’s 69-66 victory over Dartmouth in the consolation game of the Lobo Invitational.

Hill made nine of 10 shots and had 11 rebounds as Pepperdine held off the Big Green, whose bid to send the game into overtime failed when P.J. Halas missed a three-point shot with three seconds left.

Seamus Lonergan and 7-footer Brian Gilpin each scored 17 points for Dartmouth, which lost its fourth in a row.

Playing its ninth road game of the season, Pepperdine (7-4) consistently went to Hill every time Dartmouth (6-4) made a run.

Dartmouth quickly erased a 36-31 Pepperdine halftime lead, but the Waves broke the 38-all tie with seven consecutive points, Hill scoring five of them.
