In other nonleague girls’ basketball:
Century 68, Orange 30--Aprile Powell scored 23 points and Alli Napier had 17 points and nine rebounds for host Century (12-1), which led by 25 at the half.
Costa Mesa 45, San Clemente 43--Corri Lurmann, who had 11 points and 11 rebounds, converted a three-point play with seven seconds remaining to give the Mustangs (8-7) the victory. San Clemente (8-7) led, 37-28, after three quarters.
Katella 57, Canyon 50--Diandra Kay scored 15 points and Mandy Vanderburg had 13 for Katella (6-6), which outscored visiting Canyon, 18-10, in the second quarter to take a eight-point lead.
Laguna Hills 41, Edison 29--Fifth-ranked Laguna Hills (11-2) pulled away after holding Edison to one point in the third quarter. Marie Philman scored 13 points for sixth-ranked Edison (10-4).
University 66, Corona del Mar 51--University’s Lyz Day set a school record for three-pointers in a season (43), hitting four; she had 12 points. Monique Mathews scored 15 points for University (9-4). Lindsay Warmington scored 26 points for Corona del Mar (13-3).
Western 59, Brethren Christian 52 (OT)--Adrienne Ratajczak scored 14 of her 20 points in the second half for Western (9-7), which rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit. Ann-Marie Harbour had 14 points for Brethren Christian (8-6).
In nonleague boys’ basketball:
Dana Hills 59, Irvine 57--Jeff Barnett hit a three-pointer as time ran out to give Dana Hills the victory. Barnett finished with five three-pointers for 21 points. Mike Hutchens had 14 for the Dolphins (10-5). Jermaine Hill led Irvine (6-10) with 15 points.
Corona del Mar 43, San Clemente 42--Darren MacDonald made two free throws with 30 seconds remaining and Brian Coleman blocked a shot by San Clemente with four seconds left to give host Corona del Mar (9-6) the victory.
Fullerton 57, Kennedy 45--Sam Mankiewicz scored 19 points and had seven rebounds to lead Fullerton (8-7). Teammate Steve Lyons had 16. David Hinojos scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Kennedy (4-11).
Santa Ana Valley 73, Calvary Chapel 68--Ike Harmon had 22 points and eight rebounds and Olujimi Mann had 13 points and nine assists for host Santa Ana Valley (7-6). Joe Ortiz scored 26 points and Nate Morton added 14 for Calvary Chapel (10-4).
University 78, Saddleback 52--After the teams were tied at halftime, Mahdi Aslampour scored 18 of his 20 points in the second half for University (7-7), which outscored Saddleback, 46-20, in the second half. Misa Bravo scored 15 points for Saddleback (5-11).
