The latest issue of Vista, a wide-ranging, bilingual literary magazine by local high school students, is now available.

The collection of poems, short stories and drawings was started by Santa Ana High School English teacher Kay Grable in 1992 and is published twice a year.

Los Amigos of Orange County, a Latino-rights group, and the City Council have issued awards and proclamations praising the publication for promoting writing among the city’s youth.

Vista was conceived as a one-time class project but continued after Santa Ana High students expressed an interest in reading and contributing to the publication. It is distributed free to Santa Ana High students and available for sale at local bookstores.
