Grand Airways Halts Flights: The small carrier that began by offering service to the Grand Canyon and expanded to the East Coast and Mexico has ceased operations. “They’re telling us they hope to reorganize and start up again,” said Nora Cooper, a spokeswoman at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. She said the company entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Nov. 28. The company served Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The firm entered bankruptcy in 1991 and emerged in ‘93, an airport spokesman said.
