Teenager Charged as Adult in Slaying of Toddler in Alley
A day after a judge deemed him unfit for Juvenile Court, a 16-year-old was charged Thursday in adult court in the slaying of toddler Stephanie Kuhen.
Hugo David Gomez faces a count of murder and five counts of attempted murder. He is accused of firing into a car in an alley in Cypress Park on Sept. 17.
The shots killed 3-year-old Stephanie and wounded her 2-year-old brother, Joseph, and the driver, Timothy Stone, 25.
Three adults await preliminary hearings on similar charges, and two juveniles face hearings to determine if they will join Gomez in adult court.
